Use | Mainly used for adsorption and separation of aromatic hydrocarbons and paraffin purification. 10X molecular sieve can adsorb isoparaffins, aromatics and naphthenes with diameter less than 9A. When used for refining crude liquid paraffin, the polar compounds such as nitrides, organic acids, sulfides and aromatics in crude paraffin can be preferentially adsorbed and separated. So that the polar compounds mentioned above are separated from the crude liquid. |
10X molecular sieve - Introduction
10X molecular sieve, also known as 10X molecular sieve agent, is a commonly used separation material in petrochemical industry. The following is a description of the nature, use, formulation and safety information of 10X molecular sieve:
Nature:
1. Aperture size: the aperture size of 10X molecular sieve is about 10 angstroms (1 angstroms = 10-10 meters), I .e. about 1 nanometer.
2. Specific surface area: 10X molecular size has a large specific surface area, generally reaching 400-600 square meters/gram.
3. Adsorption performance: 10X molecular sieve has good adsorption performance for larger molecules, and can selectively adsorb and separate molecules of different sizes.
Use:
1. Desiccant: 10X molecular sieve can be used as a desiccant to absorb moisture and keep the environment dry.
2. Adsorbent: 10X molecular sieve can be used for adsorption and separation of molecules, such as removal of CO2 in the air, removal of dissolved oxygen in water, separation of hydrocarbon mixtures, etc.
3. Catalyst: 10X molecular sieve can also be used as a catalyst for petroleum processing and chemical reactions to improve the selectivity and efficiency of the reaction.
Method:
10X molecular sieve is mainly prepared by hydrothermal synthesis or sol-gel method. The hydrothermal synthesis method prepares 10X molecular sieve with specific pore size and specific surface area by controlling the synthesis conditions, such as alkaline conditions, the ratio of silicon source and aluminum source, reaction temperature and other parameters.
